Businesses are excited to open back up with new deals, group activities and promotions left and right, which is only matched with booming enthusiasm from everyone who has been taking precautions in hopes the virus will end soon. Many of us are looking for new ideas for things to do this summer, and if that sounds like you then you've come to the right place.
Picnics
You just can't go wrong with a well planned picnic. Whether you go alone for a self date, with your significant other, or just a group of friends- it's always something to look forward to. However, it does take a little bit of planning so that's why we're here. If you want a healthier picnic, stop by Pressed Juicery or a popular health food spot like Chopt or Cava to minimize the prep you have to do yourself. If you have some time, prep a whole charcuterie board and get fancy. Maybe even pack some OJ and champagne for impromptu mimosas. Why not, there's a lot to celebrate!
Botanical Gardens
If you're in the New York area, the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens are definitely worth checking out, especially before the peak of summer when it gets too hot to spend time observing flowers outside. If you're not anywhere near NY, check out your local botanical garden or just replace it your favorite nearby museum for an easy addition to the list of half-day activities.
Go For a Scenic Bike Ride
If you don't have a bicycle, just go ahead and rent an inexpensive day trip with CitiBike and just return it at one of the many CitiBike locations in New York when you're done. If you're not in NY and don't have your own bike, consider renting one from your local bike shop. Not only is this an active option that's more fun than just going to the gym, but it also allows you to soak up some vitamin D while enjoying some fresh air.
Whether it's winter or summer, after a day full of activities we use the VPod TENS/EMS wireless unit for muscle recovery and pain relief and recommend it to anyone with the same health or fitness goals. Visit VPod.Life for more info about the newest in electrical stimulation technology.
Happy Summer!
