Electrode pads can be incredibly frustrating to use when not maintained properly, and going through electrode pads can quickly become costly. We're here to help you out with our top five tips to keep your electrode pads sticky and get the most use out of each one.
Clean Skin is Key
While you may think your skin is clean enough to just use the pads right away, there are many particles that prohibit the pads from sticking at their highest potential. Soap and towel dry your skin and make sure it is completely dry before placing the pads.
Hydrate your Pads
Washing your pads after each use contributes to keeping them hydrated, which aids in their adhesion as well.
Use a Toothbrush
This helps remove debris that wouldn't have come off solely when washing with water! Just small gentle circles to avoid damaging the pad material.
Store Only with the Given Pad Holder
and only once it is fully dry! Storing while damp will damage the stickiness of the pad.
Store in a Sealed Bag
Again, only once it's fully air dried! this will prevent floating debris to stick to the pads in storage.
If you're on the lookout for a resistant heavy duty set of electrode pads that will last a long time, we recommend these.
